I worked with Charlie at the Sheriff's Office for much of his career.  Charlie was always happy and enjoyed life.

Charles Del Re was one of the first guys  I met when I came to Bakersfield in 1962. He was an avid Dodger fan and I was a Yankee fan. We still went on to become life long friends. I still think of him often.

He did convince me to cheer for the Dodgers

I used to walk home with Charlie and his brother Robert and will alway remember his laugh.

Charlie lived in the next block over from our's, I remember Charlie as being funny and sweet. We had a good childhood in the neighborhood, so many friends' and good memories. I it is hard to believe Charlie has left us, yet another person gone before their time. My belated condolences to Norma, Charlie's children and his family. I will remember Charlie's kindness always'.

Thank you Vicki, Donald, Allen, Brenda & Raymond for your special comments regarding Charlie. You made me smile & I appreciate that. It's been 1 1/2 years since he has been gone & though I wouldn't say it's better it is getting easier. Thanks for contributing to the easier part.
