Andy Sanchez

From the Bakersfield Californian: Andrew G.Sanchez, May 15, 1950 - September 5, 2012.

Andrew passed away with family by his side. He honorably served in the United States Navy and fought for his country in South Vietnam, Mekong Delta, from 1969-1970. He was passionate about Vietnam veterans here and there. He was awarded the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He served his country proudly.

He married his best friend Teri Sanchez and lived happily ever after for 41 years. He worked at the Gas Company for 30 years starting as a crew assistant and ending his career as New Project Manager.

He is survived by his wife Teri; son Jason and his wife Angie; daughter Judi and her husband Gary; sister Toni and her husband Ron; Deanna and her husband Don; brother Dennis and his wife Nancie.

Andy enjoyed drag racing, Nascar, fishing, sports and anything that included spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was influential in so many people's lives, he will be greatly missed.

Funeral services held at the National Memorial Cemetery in Arvin.

So sad to hear the loss of Andy.  I Remember him as a sweet, kind , gentle person. He will be missed in October .

Another sad loss in the death of Andy Sanchez, he led a good and honorable life. My sympathies to his family.
